Crowns - Bridges - Implants

When teeth are broken or heavily filled, we use crowns to restore them and protect what remains in the longer term in a functional and aesthetic way.

The crowns are “tooth color” in ceramics or porcelain.

Porcelain bonded to Metal are “standard” crowns.

These standard crowns have a substructure of a precious metal covered with porcelain.

“All ceramic crowns” are the most advanced superior crowns.

These have fantastic properties. They do not appear as false teeth but look real and alive and they have a better biological adaptation to the gum. They are as strong as standard crowns, and even more so with new zircone ceramic.

When one or more teeth are missing we replace them with bridges or implants. Every case is different and has to be evaluated based on the surrounding teeth, gums and bones.

An Implant is a titanium appliance which is placed into the jawbone to replace the missing root. After a healing period , we create a crown on the implant, like on a normal root, replacing the missing tooth.

It is now possible in some conditions to avoid the healing period by doing an immediate provisional crown at the same time as the implant placement.

The bridge is a crown which is supported by surrounding teeth. This means that the smallest bridge is the equivalent of 3 crowns:

The maximum would be to restore a complete arch of your mouth :

Small bridges can be made of pure ceramics without any metal like we do for the single crowns.

For bridges of 5 teeth or more, we use a metal substructure.
